| This is the Californian Walnut with the English Walnut grafted
onto it. The two different species don't like each other and thus the Burr Walnut is created. This is grown mainly for its fruit and to provide veneers for the car industry. The parts of the tree which are not burred have a beautifully contrasting dark and light figure. Ideal for both turning and carving. |
